The Indiana Latino Democratic Caucus (INLDC) is proud to support La Plaza for the National Day of Service on January 18, 2021.
On National Day of Service, INLDC is joining the movement for the 26th anniversary celebrating the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The National Day of Service was originally instituted by the Obama administration as a way to support and engage communities in civic work. INLDC is delighted to see the Biden Administration reinstituting the tradition during a period in which Hoosiers are facing hardships following the COVID-19 pandemic.
INLDC is encouraging members and supporters to make a donation to La Plaza’s efforts to help Hoosier Latino children and families. La Plaza is Central Indiana’s premier Latino Organization working to strengthen youth, families, and community through linguistically and culturally community services and events. Through their many educational programs, La Plaza has addressed the high school drop-out rate and prepares families to succeed in the workforce and their communities.
